NAPA Technology PMO

This automotive parts group, the largest division of Genuine Parts Company (GPC), distributes automotive replacement parts, accessory items, and service items.

COBBLESTONE CONSULTING INC. implemented an enterprise-wide Project Portfolio Management (PPM) system in the APG Information Technology organization, allowing the easy management of multiple projects. This centralized solution was the framework for project delivery. PPM was established to drive real-time business decisions on project investments in order to help companies stay ahead of the competition and meet the expectation of both internal and external customers.

NAPA - Pricing

The Catalog and Pricing Services Group of NAPA, based in Atlanta, Georgia, enlisted the aid of Cobblestone to develop a process that would help them manage the 50+ initiatives they had in progress at any given time. The result: Cobblestone implemented several project management tools and processes that established a consistent and effective approach to maintaining control over the tremendous workload. Ken Ingram, Senior Director of the Catalog and Pricing Services Group, said that “The Cobblestone team helped us to introduce some needed rigor into our project portfolio management process. They guided us and provided us with the tools we needed to better manage information and our people.”

Dan Navarra, Director of Technology Sales and Marketing at NAPA in Atlanta, Georgia, needed Cobblestone’s expertise to create several documents for a new reporting system they had asked Cobblestone to implement. “We not only needed Cobblestone to implement the system for us, but we needed them to create all of the technical documentation we would need, such as use cases, business requirements, and security specifications,” he explained. “They went to work and developed detailed documents to support each key aspect of the implementation, which was a great benefit to us because we neither had the time nor the in-house expertise to produce those ourselves.”

Morehouse

Cobblestone provided Morehouse School of Medicine with a framework that allowed their leadership to optimize their portfolio against financial, strategic and risk evaluation criteria by aligning planning strategy, sorting and prioritize human and capital resources, managing projects that deliver VALUE, PMO Design and Development and Training & Workshops. “Cobblestone’s PPM solution deployment in Morehouse School of Medicine’s IT division has provided project visibility and strategic alignment,” said Darren Providence, Director of PMO for MSM.

GPC®

Genuine Parts Company is a Fortune 500 company and is one of the leading distributors of automotive replacement parts, accessory items and service items in North America.

COBBLESTONE CONSULTING INC. managed the design and facilitated the deployment of the enterprise employee portal system. By providing a centralized location for multiple companies to merge into one, organizational productivity increased and information sharing was simplified.

NAPA - TPP

Great River Energy

State of North Dakota IT Dept.

North Dakota was one of many states that received federal grant funds to implement a Statewide Longitudinal Data System (SLDS) for North Dakota educators. As part of their effort to provide the optimum experience for users, the state tasked the Information Technology department with modernizing and enhancing the website. The IT group enlisted the help of Cobblestone Consulting to execute many of the needed enhancements. With Cobblestone’s guidance and assistance, the SLDS site received a new and enhanced look, support for mobile interfaces, device channel capability, and enhanced content management. The result was a more robust and user-friendly site that will continue to serve North Dakota educators well into the future.

Louisiana Department of Health and Hospitals

The mission of Louisiana Department of Health and Hospitals (DHH) is to protect and promote health and to ensure access to medical, preventive, and rehabilitative services for all citizens of the State of Louisiana. In order to support the overall mission, DHH IT implemented a Project Portfolio Management (PPM) solution to provide quality services, protect and promote health, develop and stimulate services by others, and utilize available resources in the most effective manner.

COBBLESTONE CONSULTING INC. developed and designed a training program to support the PMO and help achieve the above objectives with the new solution tool. The instructor-led classroom training was delivered to project managers and tool administrators through on demand and virtual mediums.
